In the river - Ludwig Rellstab
Get the last kisses goodbye,
and greetings flowing in the wind,
still sending ashore
before your feet again separated.
On the waves of the river, the boat is
quickly dragged
but look blurred by tears
always wants to retain the burning desire.
And lead me
waves away with a relentless speed.
Oh, and fields disappear
which happily found it.
Days of joy, that are gone forever! Desperate
dies
lament for the beautiful country where I found
love.
Look how fast passes by
shore and how I pushed further,
pulling me with indescribable
ties to the cabin of inland
to stay there under the foliage;
but the waves of the river continue
incessantly
course leading me to the sea in the world.
Ah, to this bleak desert
far from any coast pleasant
where no island is in sight,
oh, how fear makes me tremble!
Soft tears of sadness can not be produced
any song from the shore
storm only blows cold
through churning sea of \u200b\u200bgray.
If my wandering eyes full of desire can not be more excited
by any bank,
now look to the stars
on top, in those sacred distances.
Oh, by its gentle glow
called her "My" first;
oh, consoling fortune!, Perhaps there
reencontraré his eyes.
